Portrait Photography FAQs
Q: How long will the portrait photography shoot take?
Each session will vary in length but can take anywhere between 15 minutes to 1 hours depend on the session chosen (see below). Newborn and baby sessions may take up to 4 hours as they don't always like to fit snuggly into a given time slot.
Q: Where do you usually take pictures?
All kinds of places can make great locations - a field, a city street, a derelict building, a park, your home. For child portrait photography shoots we ask that you try and choose somewhere where your child is comfortable and will be happy to play for a while.
Q: What happens after the shoot?
I'll make the initial edits of the images before presenting you with the best within 1-2 weeks of the shoot. I'll then get in touch to arrange a mutually convenient time for you to view your images. We can then discuss any products or requirements you might have and after your order has been placed I'll upload your image to a password protected gallery where your friends and family can view them. The online gallery will be available for 4 weeks.
Q: How long do you keep our images?
Your images are kept forever however I usually archive each session 60 days after all product orders have been delivered. Should you ever wish to view the images again or place any further orders just let me know, but as they are stored offsite there will be a £25 charge to retrieve them. Unfortunately I do not have the hard drive space needed to store images indefinitely therefore images from sessions with no orders 90 days from the session date will be deleted.
Q: How long will our orders take to be delivered?
All of the products are hand made to order and can take up to 5 weeks to arrive, although it can be much sooner.
Q: Can we purchase our images on disk?
I'm about to introduce some brand new products and a Digital CD Package is one of them. Keep an eye on my blog for details!
Q: What should we wear?
I'd prefer you to be comfortable so dress accordingly but please no large logos and prints as these do tend to date the images. For child portrait photography shoots, costumes and dressing up is encouraged. Newborns and babies are best photographed in nothing but their birthday suit and hats. I'd also suggest a change of clothes, whether its a few different layers or a complete change of outfit. Did I mention no stripes?

the wedding service
we will liase pre-wedding, attend on the day and shoot informally throughout. the coverage includes: the bride getting ready, the ceremony, the reception, the family, the friends and of course, the couple. price £POA |
